Legacy One by Interactive Aerial
“Composite Builders allowed our engineers the opportunity to completely redesign the body of our Legacy One aircraft. We have since received numerous compliments on the ‘sleek design’ of the drone – thanks to Brian’s expertise. It is also imperative for our manufacturing to stay here in the U.S., it’s even better that it gets to remain in Michigan.”
Christian Smith, CEO, Interactive Aerial.

Interactive Aerial
Interactive Aerial, based in Houston, Texas, specializes in robotics for internal infrastructure inspections, particularly in confined spaces and GPS-denied environments. The company offers innovative solutions with products like the Legacy One drone, Zenith robotic camera, and Photo Measurement Software. These tools aim to reduce the cost and time spent on traditional inspections, replacing methods like scaffolding and confined space entry. Interactive Aerial also provides inspection services, product support, and maintenance. Their goal is to enhance safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, particularly in industries such as power generation, petrochemicals, and maritime.
Legacy One
The Legacy One is a specialized drone designed for industrial inspection in confined spaces and GPS-denied environments. It features a 360° LIDAR for autonomous collision avoidance, ensuring safety while inspecting hard-to-reach areas. Its 42-megapixel camera with 80x digital zoom allows for detailed defect detection, even in low-light conditions, with a 10,000-lumen LED light. The drone also includes unique flight modes such as Centering Mode and Wall Following Mode for precise navigation in tight spaces. It's ideal for inspecting assets like warehouses, tanks, and small towers, and comes with proprietary software for defect measurement and tracking.

Drone Production
Composite Builders played a crucial role in producing the carbon fiber and advanced material components of the Legacy One, including its durable and lightweight drone body. Our expertise in high-performance materials was integral to the design process, ensuring that every element met the demanding standards required for industrial inspections. Being based in the US, our close proximity to Interactive Aerial allowed for seamless collaboration and fast-paced development, resulting in a more efficient product timeline. This proximity enabled us to quickly adapt to design changes, streamline production, and deliver the necessary components with precision, helping to bring the Legacy One to market faster without compromising on quality.
